I recently signed up for a trial membership, liked it, but decided not to join at this time. I came in one day late to cancel the trial, and had already been charged the $100 for a year membership. 

I sent a request to cancel membership, and Matt from the customer service department actually refunded my money even though I was late in cancelling and the site had every right to keep my money.  That's above and beyond, as I suspect 90% of businesses would have just taken the money.

So, thank you chess.com for refunding my money, and I will ocnsider membership at a later date.
