Thank you. Fair banning rules

i value and am entertained by member's contributions to the site so there is a sense of loss when an active-person gets banned. The ethic here however is to strive for ''fair-play''. Both in behaviour and more importantly in the chess played.
A certain amount of leeway is given to transgressors of the rules but if warnings are ignored and fair-chess is not being played then it is right that the player and their persona receives a ban.

abusive players are usually not even banned - only muted for some time... It must be serious abuse for a ban...

btw these cheaters have already been given a 2nd chance to stop cheating when they had thiers first warning. Now they are gone because they have ignored the warning so what the point of allowing them back in for a second chance ?

Hm, that is a very good point.

Well corri, erik confirmed it.
I think we are suffering from a miscommunication.
I am not saying that they don't let people back in. I am saying it is rare. In fact, I have only heard of two, and one of them was re-banned because he cheated again.

Have you seen that Phoenix guy? The banned list is full of him some days.
I think he takes his name a little too seriously.

That's his name? Phoenix?
Start here and page further back in time and see how many variations of Phoenix (although he usually spells it without the o) there are.
