I would go premium in an instant if they had half decent puzzles. 90% of chess.com puzzles are terrible, designed to lure in absolute beginners only. And even beginners are often mocked with the ridiculous ease of some of them (ie, single move "puzzles"). Most ungratifying, unchallenging stuff I've seen on the internet. I wish they would just close the section so I wouldnt be tempted to click on it in hope of seeing the rare decent puzzle that comes along once in a fortnight.
The End of Daily Puzzle Funposting?

It's funny that this is the solution to an "alleged" problem. After all, the comments section was easily half the fun of the DP page.
Might as well just be using the tactics trainer.
So, msc 69 couldn't shut it down, but the yui is love clan did the comments in?
Or was it just all those one word comments and other thoughtless posts to end it.
Who else will even find this particular topic?
Tune in later for chess.com's next installment of, "Anything Goes with our Chess Puzzles!"

It makes me wonder where they get the puzzles from. I've seen many users in the DP comments and elsewhere on the site supply good ones. They ought to create a system for submitting and having puzzles analyzed, to supplement their own supply, and institute some kind of reward or recognition for those whose puzzles are chosen.

I just went through some past puzzles and whatever they did has made it impossible to post on old puizzles, indeed no editing nor quoting...No Comments period.
Cool. They shut down all DP forums from commenting!

Maybe someone would explicitly create a thread for the dp postings each day. I dont see why the mods would take something like that down.

How did one person get to post?

It was fun while it lasted, seeing people's reactions to the posts that Yui-bros made, scrolling through some real random comments, stumbling across the occasional analysis. The DP has always been a place to chill and hangout, IMO. Now that they've actually banned "everyone," (that is, people who had things to say), I can't really complain about chess.com being unfair or discriminatory against Yui posters; so I'm actually glad for that! Not that I can't post about Yui anymore, which is a bummer, but that it's finally fair, for once.
So, instead of feeling sad and proclaiming 'RIP Daily Puzzle,' I'm just going to remember the great times I've had in that forum— when I first saw Bestpony's posts that introduced me to Yui and K-On!, when I fell in love with that series, meeting similar people that introduced me to Yui Hirasawa Fan Club, fighting against the intellectual discrepancies found in some hypocritical members (Looking at kingofsh—jas!). It was fun while it lasted, so thank you again, DP, for the great memories, but No Thank You! I don't need them yet. Time to move on for a while!
I'm not pulling out a hate speech. I don't need to and there's no point.
I admit, I actually had some fun with the arguments and trying to balance between spam and once-a-day reminders.
I figured I would let you all go free.
It worked!
Well, maybe not the worst spammers.

If it is so much better why even come here? Other than to try to advertise? (and I know where you are talking about)

The first comment is in! And it's lame...
Its actually a vast upgrade over the usual garbage you get. Its nice to not see pages of "first" "easy" a bunch of cartoons, etc.

Garbage, depending on whose perspective? Yours? Everything's subjective, so you're entitled to your opinion; I'm entitled to mine. But chess.com should not discriminate against different posters on the DP. Simple as that.
chess.com is an internet website. Your "rights" are non-existent. They can do as they please. They can "discriminate" against anyone they want. But i fail to see how preventing endless pages of "first" and "easy" is discrimination?

That's why they have the TOS. You sign up, you agree to their TOS, you get their services. Simple. They can do what ever they want, but discriminating against certain members? I think not.
What "discrimination" has taken place?
No-one can post. The box does not appear.
