The only reason I will not continue playing chess to become a GM.

Today, I am announcing that I will stop playing chess. It's because I don't want to show off my superior intelligence over 90%, probably 95% of the population and be smug about it.  Since I know that I am very intelligent and I am very secure of this knowledge and this fact, I don't need to prove that I am more intelligent than most of the people on this planet.  I'll leave this game and the studying of this game to people who are insecure of their own intellect.  Thanks for understanding!

Top 95% gets you 1400 maybe, somewhere around there

I love how they bragged about being in the 95th percentile but then said they were modest in the same sentence

95th percentile is ~1400 on chesscom which is pretty good but no where near any title

I'm 1400 odd 95% . So be honest with me. How bad am I still ?  I want to hear the truth. Am I classed as good at the game yet or not?

Ill tell you. 1400 means around 1000 FIDE. You're not even playing chess yet. Sorry.
