I don't fully understand the thread title, what positional play of enlightenment are we talking about. I think Maguns Carlsen response after winning the Norway Tournament for the 7th time was a fair assessment when he said the new breed of young G.Ms are good foundation for the future of chess but they still have some improving to achieve and currently the older Elite are still the stronger by test!
