I was about to mix up Ann Arbor and Auburn Hills with a post I almost submitted. I need to remember that in Ann Arbor, they burn their cars when Michigan loses a game, and in Auburn Hills I can visit the Palace. Two completely different places.

LOL, I never said how alcohol dehydrates you, just that it does. It's a fact, Jack!
Like many chemicals, ethanol tends to take on moisture from the air when exposed to air that has water vapor in it.

I have a degree in chemistry. Learned most of this in school. The no hangover solution I came up with on my own. Sorry
Okay Karl you must have learned in Chemistry Lab that the big jugs labeled 95% alcohol were meant for experiments and not chugging.
That's a bit of a wife's tale. It may help, but it doesn't eliminate it altogether. Nothing outside of unconsciousness really does.

Alcohol. I do enjoy tying one on every now and then. Attitude adjustments are needed occasionally. In that spirit, apologies can be theraputic. I offer mine here in this "The Sorry Thread". I humbly apologize for all my recent timeouts. I feel especially guilty given my vehement rants proclaiming my dislike of timeouts. Please understand. I was away and my chess.com vacation ran out. I had very limited Internet access. I was spending time with the most wonderful creature it has been my pleasure to know in very long time... my beautiful grandson. I did discover something though... which I knew but never put into practice. No one will timeout on me again... unless it's a tournament game... I changed my settings... I de-selected the auto-win on time feature. Thank you, Sonja, for enlightening me. From this point forward I vow, as "The Sorry Thread" is my witness, I will never timeout again. If I have to lie, cheat, steal, kill or resign... I will NEVER timeout again!!

Or, instead of lying, cheating, stealing, killing, or resigning, you could pay $5 a month and have auto vacation kick in if you don't move in time. If it saves you from jail time, it would be worth the investment.

Why am I not surprised you still doubt? Have you ever gotten drunk in your life? It works, why doubt it? Just try it and see next time you get drunk. Like I said, I never get hangovers and maybe only once a year I get super drunk.
