Thinking about membership, Does it stop the lag?

Hello. I was thinking about getting a membership. I realize the ads will then stop. I believe the ads are the cause of the lag. It only happens with this site. I am just afraid that I will get a membership and still experience the same snail slow interface that I currently have which is absolutely not worth paying for. Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers!
