This guy played with 63.3% accuracy and then accused me of cheating because he lost

Didn't think you did anything all that spectacular in terms of moves. The knight move is a known tactic that I have played many times, once I learned it from Levy in a course.

How do you know he accused you of cheating? Makes no sense. It was only an 88 rating game.

Cause he said he was going to in the game chat, then he PMed me and continued whining. To be fair, I really laid into him in the PMs, because I was quite offended. But he did too. He said he "reported me for cheating," so I reported him for being a D-bag. And it just spiraled until he blocked me—most likely because he didn't want to face the fact that the algorithm confirmed my victory was fair and square and didn't want to face the shame of being wrong about me when he was so rudely confident that I had cheated.

To be honest, why?

Just take the W, keep going.

You don't know the person, never will. Why care what they think?

Don't let anyone live rent free in your head. Just forget about it, move on. Doesn't matter, you won the game and played very well. What else matters?

You're right of course. I was just an emotional drama queen. It stings to be accused of cheating when you actually play really well. But I should not be so sensitive.

Because bozos on this site automatically think you're cheating when you score 90%+ accuracy even when they play like trash and the best moves are obvious because of that lol.

Exactly. When your opponent plays like trash it's a lot easier to see the right moves. Dude had 63.3% accuracy.

Au contraire! This is the most important issue of our time: poor chessplayers feel that they are being swindled by marginally less terrible players who stumble into a game with fewer errors. What resources of our civilization can be brought to rectify this gross injustice?

Christ alive, you sound insufferable haha. This is why you were shoved in lockers at school.

Cheating is commonplace in online chess. He should report the issue and not clog up the forums.

I see you are dedicated to holding up the reputation of the Dutch for their fine sense of humor and tact.

I clearly struck a nerve there. Maybe hit a bit too close to home.

Maybe you're totally clueless and compensate for this by being rude.

You asserted that the reason I'm so insufferable is because I was shoved into lockers as a child. I have never been shoved into lockers as a child or ever. You projected some psychological state onto me to allow yourself to begin an engagement of insults. You can do that if you want. It just shows what a dreadful person you are.

What? I meant: The reason you were shoved into lockers at school was BECAUSE you were insufferable.

English is not even my mother tongue yet I understand it better than you, but then again, you are American.

As it turns out, there are many "dreadful" people on the Internet. If you're not able to man the fk up and take a bit of sht talk, then I'm afraid it's not for you.

Now look who's insufferable. Congrats!

But your English is so much better than mine. Give it a try.

I have one question regarding the rules. I was playing a 10 minute game and my opponent made his 1st 10 moves and still had 9:58 on his clock. How do you make 10 moves in 2 seconds? His clock didn't budge. Well not much.

Avatar of DrSpudnik

He could have put in pre-moves for standard opening moves. Or there was a time increment that gives several seconds back every time the clock stops with the move.

Ok well what are premoves? Can I make them? I'm losing games, not because of my chess skills, but because I don't understand the advantages that other players are taking advantage of, concerning the clock. I'm not trying to be sour grapes, I'm just here to play chess. But I don't want to be the only guy whose clock is ticking. My clock is ticking away and my opponents are sitting there with 9:58 on their clock. And what is a time increment that gives several seconds back? That doesn't seem fair. After 10 moves I was down to less than 9 minutes and he's sitting there with 9:58. What gives?

I think you have to go into your settings and turn on pre-moves. But honestly for ten minute games I think it’s a dumb idea. Especially for those of us trying to learn. Chess Vibes has what I think is good advice: take your sweet time until you hit a defined clock deadline, like three minutes.
