I think the problem might be some parts of the blog including debatable history and politics, like the end part about Hitler and Lenin.

Chess.com is racist / inflammatory / politically against Mother Russia.

Rules as intended vs rules as written.

pls stop, I've had this suspicion for a while, but now I can see that you're just trying to stir up the crowd.

Rules vs Intended vs Rules as Written differentiates between the actual rules and their application.

For example, Racism, nationalism etc is no good here, unless it's against Russia and a short list of other countries.

Forgive me, but I don't know what this have to do with Russia. We are talking about Hornet's situation, with his Hitler blog, so what this have to do with Russia? If this is some form of "cancel culture" well, what does it have to do with his blog, do you mean people are trying to say that Hitler never exist? I'm at a lost, what does Russia, or other countries, and nationalism have to do with this?

There is a rule that it's against site policy to mention some inflammatory issues. and that was mentioned as if hornet's blog crossed some taboo.

But that rule isn't actually true, you can talk smack about Russia for example, and it's fine because chess.com is anti Russian.

It's got nothing to do with hitler or Lenin crossing some written site taboo, chess.com's policy isn't taken that seriously by chess.com itself.

It just matters if they like you or not.

Their house, their rules.

And Hornet can be treated as fairly or as poorly as they feel like at that moment.

We're looking for too much congruency here, they're allowed to be flippant if they want to and in this case they were.

Makes sense, websites, if a website takes a side, then you have to go with them or thrown out, internet sometimes don't apply to free speech.

MarioParty4

The thumbnail, as mentioned in comment 1, did contain a picture that chess.com might not have liked.

However, they did say that no rules were broken, so it makes little sense.

I have no interest in reading about mass murderers like Hitler or Lenin, and I believe many others in the world would feel the same. If they don’t feel the same as I do, there's something wrong with this world. In fact, I believe there is something very, very wrong with our world!

What happens when someone tells you a politician that you don't like is a murderer? /s

What? Hitler is totally a murderer...

MarioParty4

This got political, and I am not good with other countries' politics.

Please stop discussing politics here. If you want to discuss it take it elsewhere

If it even happened, were you there?

Biden and Trump have also been accused of some pretty wild stuff.

as has Obama.

And half of your country's leaders.

Careful with what you let people fill your head with.

This really isn't something that's debated, but there are still survivors from the Holocaust today... and videos, and records... etc. etc.
