How many users need to boycott to be taken seriously?

At least a million bare minimum, probably more like 5 million plus

What are some ways to organize such a boycott?

we don't need to be that serious about it lol it's not as if he has 1mil fans

Blog is still there.

Op is a non premium member and still unmuted.

So he lost the top blogger status.

If you think that's a huge sacrifice for free speech then I don't know what to say. Actually I do, but I'd rather not.

Definitely at least 1 person was offended. And it was very likely not to be anyone even remotely involved in the Holocaust or even related by race. Virtue signaling by outrage on behalf.

Still it might mean loss of good will and business for the site that is providing a free platform to you.

Should they sacrifice that instead of the Op's top blogger status?

Right or wrong, it seems like a business decision.

Then would you say this isn't a serious issue, and that #JusticeForHornet doesn't matter, or doesn't matter enough?

i doubt it would be realistically doable, and seems a little extreme

So what's more important, a virtue signaler instigating fake outrage or someone who loves chess and history?

What does this say about the site?

That it's doing business. Should've been clear enough

We are doing it so much to hurt an entire company? There's no way we can boycott it, its not like Target. I really like chess.com and it will hurt @HornetCruise even more, if people head on to lichess. Its not as a big of a problem, now do I think that Hornet should have Top Blogger, of course I do, but boycott is too much.

That it's doing business. Should've been clear enough

Well it's a stupid business, and Chess.com needs to take responsibility, or at least explain their actions.

#JusticeForHornet

Even if it wasn't the best idea. It was still handled poorly.

2000Knights

At the start of the forum, I seen overwhelming support for @HornetCruise. As the forum kept going, we had an ongoing argument, with two sides, Chess.com and Hornet's. Now, we are talking of boycotting and spamming his justice??? I support @HornetCruise, but some stuff is taking it too far, we are acting as though chess.com committed a cyber crime. I agree Hornet should not have been demoted, but come on, this is not a huge deal, sure they all support Hornet, but there are far worse things the website can do.

Also I don't really know about showing screenshots of messages lol

It was an easily avoidable situation if Hornet just listened to Colin's advice and didn't post the blog, however removing top blogger is extreme especially considering that he didn't violate any rules.
