Not to me, I like to check it every day and going to News was less efficient. It just doesn't make much sense to me to change it.

Lol, same. I used to be able to navigate the interface with my eyes closed, and now I am going to be doing puzzles when I want to play, and going home when I want news. And now the forums are harder to access!

I also don't like merging messages and alerts. Messages are often redundant club alerts, and when they aren't, then it is really something that is different from alerts. Not to mention once you finished checking all of your alerts, you can still have that confusing one until you check that message. All in all, I don't think mixing private message alerts and public forum and club alerts is a good idea.

AHA! It's a ploy to get more people to play when they think they are going home, but instead, we are put in the play area if we are not paying attention. Luckily, I have totally not fallen for this trick.
I hate that theres no dedicated home button

Why wouldn't they say they like it? I've explained why I don't like it, and now I want to see who agrees. If enough people don't like it, we can see if we can convince Chess.com to change it. I'll only get used to it if I have to, and you saying 'get over it' won't invalidate my points.
