Just move on! If it happens again, ditch this account & make a new one.
THROWN OUT WITHOUT EXPLANATION
That's not the issue. I want to know who did that and why... Who has the authority to get into my account and make changes?
The tournament leader can throw you out if he seeks. Don't enter the tournament directors tournaments and you should be fine
My opponent has been very nice. He sent me an e-mail asking me why I resigned. He is not a great player and I don't see what his motives would be to win a lousy game. He is last in the group and has not done anything to anyone else.
The issue here is not so much as being kicked out of the tournament, but as getting into my account and resigning for me.
Can someone from chess.com work with a group leader and "do him a favor?" Can chess.com support get into my account and make changes? If not, who can?
Of course, I will never again play in the CCC tournament groups. I don't recommend anyone to do it, but the question still remains. I wonder if chess. com support would want to dig into this and make a federal case of this...
If the tournament director can't give you some kind of legitimate explanation, the OP may have some kind of computer bug.
You've been here 10 days. That's awfully weird. I'm just trying to say that chess.com has been running tournaments for years and this would be a 1st even for baddogno.
I've been watching the uscf tournaments on Friday nights lately, and it seems like people are withdrawn from the tournament for no apparent reason pretty often. They usually do quite a bit of complaining in the chat box, but nobody's ever had a good explanation for why it happens. I've often suspected user error, but can't prove it.
What about forcing a resign game without consent? I was winning my game, but the next time I looked, my game showed as if I had resigned. I did not do that. I was a rook up.
This is the weekend. Give the Mon--Fri, IT team a couple of days to look at it.
Since you have been here for 10 days, there's a new platform coming. Its called V3. Was there a cat or a puppy around the computer?

but I'm not very computer savy.
Hi, I was playing in a tournament (CCC 1400-1600 Round 1) and was winning my last game on round 1 (lost one game in between games), when all of a sudden my last game of round one which I was a rook up showed that I had resigned. A little while later it also showed I had quit the tournament.
Of course, I didn't do any of these things. When I complained to the tournament organizer, he told me he had no idea what had taken place. He contacted Support, but they said they had nothing to do with it. One of the suggestions was that someone had hacked into my account and changed the outcome.
I found this answer silly to say the least because more damage would have been done to the rest of my games if any. Besides that, my password was very strong. Since then I have changed my password, but I have no answer as to why this happened.
Since my account is practically new, I have to say that my rating went up very fast. Once I was on my third or fourth game, I had surpassed the 1600 rating limit, but the tournament was already on track.
I am still waiting an answer from support, but until now no one knows what happened.
Any ideas as to what happened?
