Time shenanigans

https://www.chess.com/live/game/168149577098 This was strange. From my end first few moves of the opponent were several seconds apart. Yet, the game timing shows them as instantaneous. My move 10 capture of the queen with the rook was pre-moved yet the game shows 3 seconds on it. WTF? During the game which from my end looked like a balanced one trimewise I saw myself down to some 18 or 16 seconds while the opponent still had 56 seconds to go. That's ridiculous. I'm playing on android phone app and I have stable WiFi connection.

You're seeing lag, lag compensation, and potentially small disconnects.

Doesn't add up. It seemed that the opponent's clock was froze while all time was counted against me. Not to mention that I played several games in a row and only this one showed such behaviour.

That sounds like you were experiencing connection issues on that game.

I had connection problems yet we both kept making moves? To be clear, I'm not accusing anyone of cheating, I just find this behaviour strange and probably faulty. I know what disconnection feels like (I learned not to play bullet when I'm in a particular spot when walking my dog). It was different. The game went on normally but the clock seemed to proceed only for me.
