That's a neat project. Enjoy!
Trying to Play Someone from Every Country
If only there were a set of national trophies to collect ...

So far, I have played folks from 148 countries and all 50 states here. My list of countries is at

Thanks for posting, guys.
Hibernating -- For this project, I'm hoping to actually play with people who are living in the country. I'd be happy to play a random game, of course.
infinitum -- Maldives! Awesome -- I've challenged you.
elkounisam -- By coincidence, I think I've already challenged you off of the list for Tunisia...
baastian & Simendo -- Thanks for the challenges!
billwall -- I didn't figure I would be the first to come up with this idea. I'll see if I can catch up with you!
You can move a geographer out of academia, but you can't get geography out of his bones....

Agreed! : )
ADK
I live in the U.S. but I'm from Ukraine. Would that count for your project? If so then I'd be happy (as indicated by the happy face) to play against you.
Sorry to rain on your parade, but I believe there are countries which have no members on chess.com.
Example: "Saint KittsNevis" has no players.

Another cool suggestion along these lines (that came up in an old forum I won't be able to find): Add a new filter to the Member Map called "Past Opponents" so that you can see your chess.com career writ large on a world map.
It's a change that would definitely bring me back to the Map from time to time.
I am, for no particular reason, trying to play a game of chess against someone from every country in the world (using chess.com's list of countries).
I am mostly just challenging people randomly from the country list, but if you come from a country outside of the United States -- particularly a country that doesn't have many members playing on chess.com -- please consider challenging me!
I play online games, not live. Also, if you are rated over 1500 you will beat me easily. But that's OK!
