I really don't understand it. We're playing sub 1000 elo Chess, and you're rage quitting games instead of just hitting the resign button. In my stats I have more people rage quitting than just resigning the game. Chess.com used to give people warnings for this, but apparently it is very hard for people to resign. One thing I do have to say about this is that it is likely not easy for everyone - exp new users - to find the "resign" button, or maybe they don't even know what it means. Chess.com bears some responsibility to educate people. Maybe direct frequent abandoners to a sort of Mini-Game / Puzzle / Tutorial. Call it a resignation CAPTCHA Before you can play again you have to finish this resignation tutorial. Sometimes users are just oblivious, sometimes their connection suddenly drops, it happens. So I get it.. it has happened to me maybe one time, but I understand that if you are somewhere in the middle of nowhere and your connection drops due to cloud cover, you shouldn't be punished. But this is not the case most often. There is plenty of time for a slight connection glitch to recover. I'll write support about it and see if they like the idea. Is anyone else annoyed by this behavior ? And do you like my solution ?
