You've also been on here a year longer than Karl, have blocked around 5 people, and don't even remember who they are?  Stunning coincidence!

Don't take me out of context. I'd block you, but I don't have a detention group. Can I outsource?

I'm part of the "Detention Group." If you like I could see if Windows-7_ would take on some of your blockees. I know detention is kind of empty at the moment so he might welcome a few extra members.

Although what's more likely is that he will discover this post and give me a curt reprimand for even floating such an idea.

In fact it's MANDATORY for blocked users to join!

Mandatory?  You banned me from that group before you blocked me -- I guess you'll make an exception in my case?

@ Karl

So we're just going to go in circles? "I sensed that he was going to be abusive because I'm not stupid and I've seen some of his other posts so I pre-emptively blocked him," is lame. We've already established that.

He had not called you any names when you blocked him, so we've established that.

Now, we're still waiting for your explanation of how t-boy's comment falls outside of this category of calmly discussed disagreement.

orangehonda

Oh snap, Karl blocked me, I didn't even personally attacked him.  I do think I said something he disagreed with though... didn't know he blocked for that.

(the rest of chess.com watches as orangehonda finally figures that one out lol).

He just knows.  That's why he can say he's tried acting in a civil manner without actually doing so; because he knows if he did we'd all just let him down.  You know he's real nice and loads of people love him, right?

theoreticalboy

"I could list many good topics here that were hijacked, but why would I need to explain my actions to you?"

C'mon Karl, just one?

Niven42

Mannn, I totally missed that handicapping thread...  that is an awesome idea!  (wanders off)

theoreticalboy

Yeah the OP in that one was pretty weird.

I guess we'll be getting moved to off-topic here soon.  Sorry to any mod I may have offended/given extra work Tongue out

What do you guys do?  March around and chant pro-WinDope slogans?  As to a reprimand, are there inner circles of WinDope detention a la Dante?

Is leaking detention info treated like posting Scientology "secrets" on the Net?  Will he hunt you down?

No kidding.  (from a blocked user who never joined)

Mutual Assured Blocking?  Cool

 Sorry it's all, "classified."

But yes, I do live in fear. It's not so bad. You get kinda used to it.

Now would probably be a good time to remind people that I left the U.S. for St. Pierre et Miquelon because I was put on Karl's "secret list"

theoreticalboy

Surprised

Good point, and how many more innocent men must be driven from their homelands into sun-drenched island paradises before chess.com puts an end to this madness?!

ivandh

It was a while back. You were making a really big (and very creepy) deal about this list at the time, so I would have thought that you would remember it. Maybe alcohol was involved (as it may or may not have been when I "offended" woodshover).

For the sake of completeness, I did not actually go straight to St. Pierre et Miquelon, but first went around some smaller eastern European countries, then started hopping around to all places beginning with "saint" or some translation thereof. It is then that I met Marie Serba, Miss St. Pierre et Miquelon 2009, and decided to take up residence there. Alas it hasn't worked out, hence I am trying to get my mind off it by chilling in sunny Curaçao.

ivandh

No, this is a special and creepy stalker list, so it sounded (you wouldn't tell us exactly whether it was whose severed heads to eat first or what, hence the "secrecy")

ozzie_c_cobblepot

Ha. I was going crazy thinking "but I just posted in this topic, WHERE is my post?!"

Ever stop to think I was just messing with some here?  LOL

Ah, so you were just trolling, is all?

I called you that largely because you never had the decency to explain yourself.  You're claiming to be doing one thing, whilst acting in a completely contrary manner.  You are something that smells, alright.

I was blocked for suggesting he might be a little overbearing....that's funny, ironic, and perhaps a little overbearing?

Oh well.

It is interesting. If a person is dependent on attention, even if it's negative, then blocking those who would provide this attention seems unproductive. You'd have to participate in similar threads to get the desired effect.

You seem very smart.  Unlike what some say of me, you seem to realize I'm not just after attention.

Ha! Ha! EPIC FAIL!
