I saw Mr Smyslov at the New York Open (at Penta Hotel) in the early 1990's;
he impressed me as the fine- looking gentleman he was reputed to be; he was in the company of Efim Geller; I was in awe of these giants of chess.
R.I.P. Dude, gone but not forgotten...
