Verbally abusive behavior, in game

Hello, I'm sorry to hear that you had this experience. If you come across behavior that violates Chess.com's TOS, using the report function is the best course of action.
This article explains how to do it: https://support.chess.com/en/articles/8562517-how-do-i-report-someone

The staff member that replied first:

What ive noticed is this happens everyday. (i see it everyday on the chess.com subreddit) so it seems like people arent reading the rules

Some staff do read some forums and will occasionally reply but they're generally doing other work so aren't as active in the general forums
i have a hard time getting anyone to chat during 24 hour games - which is one of the reasons i play that format which is to converse and discuss the game -- not lately and most times i get no response . i enjoy when people tell me what they think of my play or what i did right and what i did wrong, the interaction is what on line chess is for - if winning is your only goal -- then i feel sorry for you- life is to short to not interact --- even good and bad comments are sometimes welcomed -- just something to show you are not a bot or busy trying to get your other software up and running to make the next move - i wish they had a built in translator so i could talk to peoples of different countries better

Very sorry to know you had a bad expierience with an opponent. I am sure chess.com will attend to your compliant and do the needful...ban the opponent for his behaviour.....Chess is a game which should be played in a friendly ambience irrspective of the result...we may win or loose, this should not matter. Most of my opponents who have won a good game , i congratulate as a gesture being a good sports man....invariably, they are happy of the win and don't bother to acknowledge my compliments. I think chess players have to become more civilised and must care for simple human courtesy.
