Vote Chess Idea

One of the biggest problems with vote chess is drive by voting from players who do not read any of the discussion before casting their own vote.  I would venture that many of these votes are cast by lower rated players who take a quick peek and then just vote for the first thing that pops into their heads.  Some of the votes appear to be done for mischevious reasons, and are clearly against the best interests of the team.

I have an idea that might help to combat the undue influence of players who don't really care about the votes they make:  Weighted voting, in relation to the rating of the player.

Perhaps something like the following for the weights:

Rating, Percentage of full vote

0000 - 1200, 40%

1201 - 1599, 60%

1600 - 1999, 75%

2000 - 2399, 90%

2400 - 9999, 100%

With the above, for example, a vote by a 1550 rated player would only count for six tenths of a full vote.  The above weights could probably be tweaked more.  I would hope that higher rated players would be concerned about making a good choice, and should accordingly have a bit more weight for their votes.

Also, I think that players should have completed a minimum number of games before being allowed to participate in vote chess, along with a not too high timeout percentage.  Perhaps these things could be optional, and not necessarily applied to every vote chess game.

Just something I wanted to throw out there for consideration.....

most people on the team look at the discussions so then a higher percentage would vote for the main move
