 It would fit in with her personality as it is attention.

My hypothesis is that she will lay low and be quiet for a time, but before you know it, she will be in the cheating forum stating that using opening books in turn based chess is cheating.

When it comes down to it she is an okay person and certainly means no harm, but she is good for entertainment, as given to us by her followers.

Someone really should make a group for her and call it "Welcome back babs who deleted her account and said goodbye"

OK.  I'm just putting my two cents in here.  I never "met" Babs but her goodbye thread really amused me. A day or so before she "left", I had a few people talk with me about how disgusted they were with her.  The next thing I know, I see their comments in the thread about what a wonderful person she was and how much they were going to miss her.  When did leaving a website make one a saint?

This is one of the points of the humor, besides the drama queen aspect.

It almost took on a funeral like atmosphere, with everybody talking about her in past tense.

But look, she has risen!!!

They always come running back, sighs.., some people are addicts, sometimes its Chess, Drugs, Alcohol, Gaming, they never seem to quit fully.

I feel bad for Babs, she has got to let this go, her life is busy as is (or atleast thats why it seemed like), why come back? Its not like its a friendly community anyways. (Except for some people)

I agree. This thread is eerie.

I'm a bit confused. Is she back because the family and business situation has stabilized? Or was the temptation to stay away too great? People in the know, do tell.

Only time will tell. But alas, by the time the answer comes I will probably be working on the road and only have time to come here to play chess.

Like a bad reality show that gets my interest for an episode or two, I will soon lose interest and change the channel.
