It's one of those mysteries.
None of them have posted afterwards. I know that they get an email sent to their email address of record, offering them a second chance if they admit what they have done.
However, when they come back with a new account, a lot of them seem to have a lot of trouble getting the email from Chess.com that offers them a second chance. Perhaps it is because they never actually used the email address that they supplied when they registered.
