It said that it was a draw in one of my games even though I was winning, I’m so confused, what the hell is a stalemate and how do I do it?

If you are choosing to uncheck the opponent, he or she is required to be able to make a legal move on their turn with any piece they may have.
If you prevent the opponent to make a legal move without checking them; this is a stalemate.

Your opponent cannot skip his move. So, if he does not have any legal moves and there is no check - it’s stalemate.
