Interesting thread indeed! Batgirl hit the nail on the head with a lot of what she posted (surprisingly to see this thread) I was one of the first beta testers. If I'm correct would say about April of 2007 was the first beta. I remember when you couldn't promote to a queen or under promote any piece for that matter, there was auto flag issue and clock issues, pieces wouldn't move properly, along with other board issues. Remember working with Erik, Jay and letting them know about bugs on the board. Believe that March/April 2007 had to been the first beta of Chess.com
