My question is (this is very important). Are you ready to challenge Bobby Fischer? If you do, what is your opinion regarding who will win? The rule is whoever gets to 6.5 points is the winner. Draws are not counted.

Fischer's been six feet under for 5 years now. So your hypothetical match wouldn't be terribly exciting. Even if Fischer was still around, an old timer like him wouldn't be able to compete with a young Magnus anyway.

Well, eve n Fischer is dead, I still want his answer. He may have something interesting to say.

What could possibly be interesting about a purely hypothetical match between a dead guy who played decades before Magnus, and Magnus himself? Why not ask what would a match have been like between Garry Kasparov and Wilhelm Steinitz? It's just as inane a question.

I have blocked you once then I let you go. Now you are messing up with me again. I didn't say nothing abt you. I just want to ask Magnus one question. And I am entitled to ask. Now who is trolling?

I admit that my first post (which was directed at the OP) was troll-ish, but also clearly not meant to be taken seriously. I'm sorry if some folks don't appreciate that kind of humor. But in all seriousness, I have nothing but the greatest respect for Magnus as a chess player, and especially as an endgame player. His technique is phenomenal, and I find his relative disdain for opening study for a player of his caliber admirable.

Aside from that, I've been entirely serious. And I respond to stupid questions with (at best) stupid answers. And yes, your question was stupid. I really can't say it any nicer than that without outtright lying. The truth is the truth and I refuse to sugar-coat it just because some people might find it unpleasant.

So go ahead and block me if you must...doesn't bother me, really. And you're welcome in that you now know that Fischer's dead.

Magnus, my aunt has created a new energy drink especially for chess players who "want to take their game to the next level." A combination of coconut water and fruit juice, this energy drink is called D4! Is it true that you were drinking it throughout the world championships, and it helped you to win?! :) Or should we rename it Nf3 in your honor?

Scottrf, my, what difference punctuation can make:

1. Just ignore the troll iamdeafzed, Peter will.

2. Just ignore the troll, iamdeafzed, Peter will.

Magnus, in which area would you like to have worked if you hadn´t become  a chess professional?

Dear Magnus, have you ever actually visited chess.com on a regular basis and if so, which section did you frequent the most?

It may be early for this, but people say that this new era may be able to be greater than the Fischer boom in chess.  Any ideas yet of how you are going to advance chess globally as a sport or in other respects?

My Ambitous Magnus,

For our sake, will you remain grounded ?

Thank you in advance.
