when you play a game and completely get destroyed, are you mad?
Well I don't think I ever these days get destroyed on chess, used to when I was bit looser in my play 20 years ago, but here is something, I do on occasions lose but when I do I nolonger get frustrated or angry, as you get older on years this happens I am now 68 and if I lose a game I remember the famous quote by Lasker: "Chess Matures With Age and Calmness Endures"
Immature people are at a big handicap when trying to improve at chess.
A lost game can teach you ten times as much as a won game, but ONLY if you analyze it carefully (analyze it with your own mind, NOT just clicking a button on a computer) and try to objectively figure out WHY you lost.
Not just "I blundered a piece"... but WHY you blundered a piece. You ran short of time and started making random moves without thinking? Then work on your time management. You just don't feel comfortable in that type of position? Then either get more experience with positions of that type, or learn how to avoid them entirely. Fell into a trap? Study its characteristics until you can recognize that sort of trap coming.
Players who get angry at losses rarely take the trouble to study their lost games, so they miss out on a gold-mine of suggestions for improvement.
Part of the problem is the obsession with getting a high accuracy, or how many "brilliant" moves did I have, or what game review told me. Nothing about the work someone put in on their own. Using a real board and pieces. Using pen and paper to do their own analysis. Having a higher rated player go over their games. Nope...its all about an ego feed.

Depends how I lose. If I get destroyed, I cringe. If I lose on time, I cringe. If I lose because of an ahh blunder, I cringe. If I lose because my opponent perfectly converted the smallest advantage, I cringe. If I lose because my internet doesn't internet, I cringe. If I lose because my glasses aren't glassesing (yes i have glasses trust), then I cringe. If I lose because I failed to convert an advantage, I go brrrrrrr. If I lose because I I'm allergic to drawing, I start drawing Darwin.

Carlsen got good because he couldn’t stand losing.
