NM's aren't special. Come back when you're CM.

@darkunorthodox88 ... what is wrong with your blitz chess history?
its all agaisnt the same opponent, a friend of mine who is a much stronger player (and a much better blitz player relative to his OTB strength than i am to mine )

I have red, i am special!

Yeah because chess.com becomes more popular if there are many titled players
More popular for who? Because i could care less about titled players. It's not like you ever get to play them unless you're titled yourself or unless they do a simul or something. Well, the IM and GM's anyway... You maybe get to play a CM if you're lucky...
Even titled Tuesday would be like 50 max. You can watch people in live chess and maybe you don't care but others do

if you all are saying no, then what is elitism cuz i dont undrstand
Elitism is the advocacy or existence of an elite as a dominating element in a system or society.
as the online dictionary put it. When people like Ben Finegold for an example called Hikaru some things I shouldn't type here but he was saying that people like xQc aren't talented

if you all are saying no, then what is elitism cuz i dont undrstand
Elitism is the belief or attitude that individuals who form an elite—a select group of people with an intrinsic quality, high intellect, wealth, special skills, or experience—are more likely to be constructive to society as a whole, and therefore deserve influence or authority greater than that of others.
~ Wikipedia
Everything is elitist to some extent. You'd go to a hospital for a surgery instead of your friend. But isn't that elitist? Not really.

but they literally get money when they come to chesscom sooooooooo im not convinced
you won't be like this if you were titled lol
exactly
some are not that way and it pushes me down in life. have strong principles and must apply to one's self.
people often go to college to feel superior. i tutored many to know this. now why should pay be necessarily much higher, all because they spent time and money doing something, with that something minimally used in a future job whereas a person who didn't go to college could have simply been trained for 2 weeks to be essentially at the same level as the one who wasted time and money going to college? The system is bunk.
One of the reasons why i elected not to go to the naval academy was in being told busloads of women would be going to the dances. i thought, amazing that women so much would be throwing themselves at future officers and i didn't want that undo favoritism. it's not like i'd be any better of a person to deserve that treatment. I guess the populace is stuck in some stale greedy thinking.

Having titled players here brings in additional regular players/members. Giving titled players premium for free is marketing.
A second anonymous account allows them to just play without people being able to see what they are playing/experimenting with.

And this is the reason why chess.com should turn off auto renewal on their free trial, angers some peeps to the point of utter frustration.
didn't know that they had an auto-renewal... that must be pretty interesting. Probably should tell people "hey we have auto renewal"... or did they already do that? idk, I didn't pay for my membership anyways, since someone else paid it for me.
The fact that it is a subscription, not a one-off purchase is pretty clearly stated when purchasing.

Some people must be new to the internet?
When you sign up for a free trial that requires a credit card, it will start charging you at the end of the trial if you do not cancel. The vast majority of sites operate this way.
When I sign up for a free 1 month trial, I cancel 5 minutes after signup. So there's no chance of an unwanted charge. You still get the free month (maybe some people do not get that it works that way?), and if you really love it and decide to subscribe, you can cancel your cancellation...there's not a company on earth that is going to tell you "sorry, you already cancelled, we don't want your money now".

oh, I didn't know that. I'm only 15, though.
why would they let only titled players have accounts? There must be some reason why they are trying to do it. But i consider it to be elitism. Is it elitism??
zactly! and why should they be the only ones titled? we all should get a title too!
