Have you seen my photo?  Granted it was taken six years ago, but like the name says, I'm still an aquired taste.  Got that hammer somewhere around here...

That photo is actually a still from a short video taken at college of me screaming my head off and swinging that thing around in one of my manic states.

I had a mineralogy prof who did that with a sawed off hockey stick once every week or two.  The first three rows of the auditorium were always empty for his classes.
