Why does a 2300 bullet player BURN OUT his time vs a Lowly 1200 rated player?

Hi guys!tongue

What do you think?happy

Is it possible that they do not know what to do next in a game of 960?cry

Because they lost their favorite chess openings and memorized moves where they always get their advantage?

Well those are the only reasons I can think of.

If this was a Bullet or Blitz Standard game..

I WILL BE ANNIHILATED!!!cry

Ha ha ha !!!grin

Here is my won game in 3 minutes 960 blitz vs a 2300 standard rating bullet player ( thats his standard chess rating so hes strong) who moved so slow I could not understand it.

I had 1 and half minutes left while he had 20 seconds left! I thought I was the bullet player ha ha ha!!!cry

He was banking on trying to check mate me in the end but I saw it. So I never game him the chance!wink

He eventually lost ontime:

Where is the game itself?

Play 10 games with him and you will get result which will not be so good. Maybe he was distracted and did not play well.

I agree dude. My point is if this is standard chess even if its 100 games I wouldnt even win 1 ha ha ha!!

960 is pretty special. I checked his games 960 , shortly after me he got beaten by a 1400 blitzer. 960 really has this effect on standard chess players.happy

Its main point when Fischer invented 960: to leave all opening theory behind.

But I really dont have any explanation why a 2200 blitzer will have difficulty in crushing a <1400 player in 960 which he will easily do in standard blitz

Differences is huge but it happens sometimes.

I've never seen anyone use the word 'blitzer' before
