Why is it SO HARD to type a simple GG after a good game?

hey sound off! Let's not call this man a whiner! Maybe he had trouble coping with his feelings, ok?

It has nothing to do with feelings.  It has everything to do with being anonymous online.  At some point manners became rudeness, and or a sign of weakness online.  When you cant be seen, heard, or touched.  Some people will act differently then how they would in person.

Using anonymity as a cover online is a way of posting or chatting, not of not participating at all. One doesn't use a screen name to avoid getting busted for not chatting, but to avoid getting busted for online comments. (Yes, obviously, my using my real name makes it easy to say this.) You can only be so rude by wanting to be silent. It really is just wanting to keep distance between yourself and whoever is on the other end of the connection. It is so weird to suggest that if someone wants to feel comfortable they shouldn't be here.

To be fair, nobody owes you—or anyone for that matter—praise for a silly board game

I try, but most of the time my opponent is already gone.  Other times I notice a while later that my opponent typed something to me, but I wasn't paying attention to the chat because I was absorbed in my game.  Sometimes, especially in bullet (which is what I play most of) I get into a "zone" where it's all reflexes and speed with my mind flying and as soon as a game is done I'm already onto the next one as fast as possible because I can feel my mind flying and want to take advantage of it by playing as many games as I can while in peak form.  So, I don't bother saying "gg."

Remember, too, a lot of the people you play don't speak English.  I almost typed a paragraph once to this dude during a blitz KOTH game about some nice tactics he had found and some interesting analysis, when he typed back in arabic... happy.png "What are you saying?  Go to the buffalo" was what Google Translate told me he said... happy.png So, I don't think you can expect a GG from everyone, especially if they're from another country.

Avatar of Phantom_Beast23

the only reason its hard to type "gg" Is because

The g button on my computer never works

Because GG is so cliche. Nobody even cares anymore.
