It's probable that your account showed up on the recommendation list for some members.
I started this thread because I received 4 or 5 friend requests at random from strangers. Since then, I suspect people are seeing this thread and just sending me friend requests to be annoying, so I'm getting dozens per day.
1. Is there any way to auto-decline ALL friend requests, without needing to even see them? Getting alerts every 10 minutes is just annoying. I've already blocked chess.com from sending alerts to my phone, but I've got a tab open at all times on my computer's browser waiting for my turn in daily games, so it's still annoying to get constant unnecessary alerts.

You can disable friend requests in settings. For 2, moderators can't do anything like that.

Out of nowhere I am suddenly getting loads of random friend requests. I've had more in 1 month that I have had in the 14 years of being here. I am not that active, so something is up I'd say.
