why some players don't allow rematch?

There are literally thousands of players on this site, I don't need rematches to find a game.

I never ask for one, I usually don't give them.

Today, even with Gold membership, you can't do analysis as much as you want. You must be Platine...

This is simply not true. Analysis is still unlimited and free even with no subscription. You are confusing Analysis with Game Review.

This topic has been done to death, dozens of times. Some players like to have rematches, some players don't. It's as simple as that! There is nothing in the rules or norms of chess that implies that you owe your opponent a second game. If you would like a rematch, ask for one. If your opponent also feels like a rematch, he'll agree. Otherwise. no rematch.

when the person who wants a rematch plays the london as white and the caro and reversed london as black, you really wouldn't want to play them again

Avatar of Sea_TurtIe

the people who typically want a rematch will try to play you in the most boring, unimaginative, plain way ever to try to make mess up and get their elo back

once played a kid player and accepted the rematch, he played this

@magipi game review or game analysis, what is the difference? Previously with Gold, you could do unlimited games reviews. today, not only is it almost twice more expensive, but you need to pay for Platine for unlimited games review. That is a bit over the top 😳 was chess.com losing money??

Game review is a worthless gimmick. It can be used for nothing, except to brag about "brilliant moves".

When a chess coach or experienced player tells you to analyze the game, they mean analyze. You can use engine assistance for that, and that is free and unlimited for everyone.

the point of game review is to learn from your mistakes...

Learn from your mistakes how? In game review it is impossible to figure out why a move is a mistake and why other moves are better.

After a game, I like to analyze and think about how I could do better. Also, as some others mentioned, I might have to go somewhere or I just might not want to play another game.

you must have been experiencing this oddity as well. how frustrating is it not to be able to replay a game, especially when you lost. I therefore encourage players to be fair play in allowing for another game.

It's not a oddity. It's not about fair play. It's just your ego.

I play 2/3 always. 100% of the time my opponent and I will play 2 (if 0-2 or 2-0) or (sometimes) 3 games. This is only fair for them to allow a rematch.

Avatar of SaberSpeed77

because a lot of players are passive aggressive here after a match

Avatar of Sadlone

Report the players who don't rematch and block them too

Avatar of Vincidroid

Perhaps they fear a rematch will expose their secret move: the 'Runaway Chicken Gambit'!

I used to always accept rematch requests, after I had scored a win. Gradually, I came to realize the majority of players asking for a rematch ,after they'd lost, were toxic players with bloated egos. As a result, I rarely grant rematches now.

Avatar of Ilampozhil25

the opponent doesnt owe you a rematch

this one line is so important

we clicked "play game" not "play 2 games"

i usually dont give rematches, but if i get them i accept

Avatar of NotTekCrec

because they don't want to, you just can't force them to play a rematch
