Kidneys? I don't think we serve that in the United States any more...... Crazy country is on a health kick! It is easier to find organic, hormone free, anti-biotic free, fat free, non pasturized milk from free range cows that eat hydroponically grown grass, listen to Mozart and are provided with their own personal therapist to explore their symbiotic relationship with the honeybee!
Yorkshire Puddings - Love them or Hate them?

ROTFLMAO

Most organic food is bloody tasty though..however Americans make the best cow.
I love Yorkshires, I also love spotted dick, and that's really going to confuse our American friend :) Oh, and I was born in Sheffield and lived there a bit, and my dad's from roundabouts there as well, even though I grew up in Scotland.
How about treacle sponge, bakewell pudding, bread sauce (I'm assuming this is a British thing more than an American thing), dripping on toast (thanks mum.), tripe, and sweetmeats.
Yorkshires are easyish to cook by the way, just make sure the oil is stupidly hot before you put the batter in.

Spotted dick...................... Isn't that fish?
if it is what you tried to make it sound, then get it checked
Zombywoof isn't lying, there is even a pill for taking a pill

It's suet sponge with (the way my mum made it anyway) raisins, sultannas and currants in it. That with thick custard [don't forget the skin], it's amazing.

Sorry guys, there is NO WAY you will get me to try anything by that name I do not care what you say is in it. I am not prudish in the slightest and I can talk about the goriest crap during a meal w/o losing my appitite (2 doctors in the family who love to compete for most shocking stories since last get together), but sorry folks...... you totally lose me there! This is fascinating though confounding. My wife and her siblings were born in England (British mom) I think in Newark, Nottinghamshire. Nevertheless I have never heard of spotted dick, at least as a food. I asked my wife about it and she confirmed it to be an actual British dish She told me to not make jokes about it because "it would be trite" which is something I never want to be...... and she knows it. So I am not willing to say anymore about it....... Are sultannas a type of date or fig?

I love my mom's recipe. She went to England for a church thing in her youth and learned how to make Yorkshire pudding

Yorkshire pudding is a baked pudding made from a batter of eggs, flour, and milk or water. A common British side dish, it is a versatile food that can be served in numerous ways depending on its ingredients, size, and the accompanying components of the meal. As a first course, it can be served with onion gravy. For a main course, it may be served with meat and gravy, and is part of the traditional Sunday roast, but can also be filled with foods such as bangers and mash to make a meal. Sausages can be added to make toad in the hole.
Never had one, I don't think they even are made in Alabama, heard of them all my life by my grandmother and people I know who are English, but just try to get anything different tried in Alabama
