there is no scenario in which you would have a "lone queen," if you don't have a king you already lost.

It takes careful positioning to checkmate a lone king against a bishop and king. The trick is to force the other king into a corner under your bishop's control. Support the bishop with your king, constricting the opposing king, and eventually delivering checkmate in a corner square of the same color as your bishop.

And, of course, having another piece taking care of the inevitable square that neither your king nor your bishop covers. Either another piece on your side covering the square or a pawn, bishop or knight of your opponent's occupying the square so the king cannot escape check by moving to it.

If you don't want to use one of the smothered mate positions then Black Kh8, Bh7, White Kf8, Nf7.

No. The closest you can get is kinda like doing a queen and king mate, but your bishop attacks diagonally, but the king can move to the side of the bishop without your king. It is a draw by insufficient material, unless the opponent's king has more pieces that make it possible for mate.
