Coordinating Rooks

Let me start by saying that I'm not great at the puzzles. However, I've noticed that the puzzles that I dread the most, and the ones that really tend to stump me, are the ones where the rooks need to work together to make something happen. They usually look like endgame scenarios. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some principles for handling rook play or ways of improving how I use my rooks together.

Thanks in advance for any advice that you might be able to give me!

Your question is to general.  You would need to post an example.

There is a fairly advanced book (Prectical Endgame Play - Beyond the Basics) with some material involving the use of a pair of rooks. I don’t know that it would be likely to do you much good. I know that I would not want to spend much time trying to learn from it. I faintly remember a Pandolfini book (Pandolfini’s Endgame Course) as having some two-rook material. Even if it isn’t very much, the book might be a rewarding experience for you. Using two rooks is part of the general middlegame experience. I wonder if it would help to simply choose some collection of annotated games. Maybe The Most Instructive Games of Chess Ever Played by Irving Chernev (1965).
