Endgame Study - Arisktotle

Nxc3, b1Q, Nxb1
And if black doesn't promote and instead starts pushing their king forward, it comes down to a basic theoretical N versus p draw
#6 It's a wrong position to begin with.
What happends to King f8 on move 3?
You misplaced the pawns in your diagram. But generally white only wants a draw and is happy to repeat positions!

Hi Arisktotle, it's very nice to see your production, the rook abandonned is nice and the mate at start is surprising, the knight and king stopping 3 pawns is not obvious to see, but the final stalemate suffers 2 useless pawns.

Yep! Thanks for the comment. It's kind of complicated to sacrifice a rook + a knight to arrive in an endgame with just the opponents queen since the material sacrificed could hold a draw against the queen. Perhaps some other time I will think of a mechanism to get there in a miniature , but I am pretty satisfied with the current construction. Indeed, it is not perfect!
What happends to after Nd5 Kxd7?
That variation is in the solution column of the top diagram. It is a relevant part of the composition.
