The bot likes to be aggressive so play carefully or it will find a lot of tactics. It also makes a lot of mistakes so spot one mistake , trade pieces and win in the endgame.

The most frustrating thing about trying to beat Wendy bot is that she beats you right at the end. in the end game stage. Even if you are winning for most of the game, somehow she seems to turn the tables right at the end.

Defeating wendy would be complicated but u can by not attacking her, you should just let her attack as "offence is the best defence".

Most of the time, bots around 1500+, will avoid the "here take my queen" type blunders that the lower rated bots are prone to do. They will generally play the opening well, but not perfect, so keep your eyes open for tactics and pounce when you can. I played a few games against Wendy-bot after it replaced the Antonio-bot as the "1500 bot available for non-diamond accounts". I was trying to get used to playing against the French, which the Antonio-bot would play sometimes, so I was worried I may have lost my "training" partner. Fortunately, Wendy-bot plays the French, at least sometimes. This game was from that time. Not sure if they've changed the settings for the bots since then though. I've been busy with other things, and my chess time has been reduced. Hoping to get back to it soon though.

It's quite easy to win against a 1500 bot in a simple rook endgame. In a simple rook endgame, you almost always know which moves are good, but the bot is programmed to play equally well in every part of the game. So it will make less good moves even in that endgame.

The way to get to a simple rook endgame is to play something like 1.d3 d5 2.e4, trading the queens after dxe4, 3.dxe4 Qxd1 4. Kxd1. Then you have to trade the minor pieces off until you get to a rook endgame, if it is a simple one you will win.

For example in this game, I traded queens with Wendy bot and I was about to trade the two bishops off when it blundered a tactic.
