What sort of adware warnings? Pgn files are just text files.
looking for Reuben Fine Basic Chess Endings pgn without malware
Yes I agree that pgn files are just text files. But often the text files made available freely on internet are made available via a download program that installs software you don't want in your computer at the same time it makes available the text file you wanted. The download I found had a warning that some software would also be installed so I didn't click on it.
I have now abandoned my search for pgn files or other electronic form of BCE positions. I spent quite some time searching and testing without success and for what I want to do it would be quicker to set up the positions manually from just looking at the diagram in the book.
I'm not sure if there is a way to close a forum topic to indicate I am not looking for this anymore.

I got it. It's not a "pgn" file but a "cbh" file but that's not a problem if you have a chessbase product. With chessbase you can even convert it to a new pgn file.

This is a torrent download and there are many other books besides Fine's BCE.
I am looking for a pgn download of the positions in Basic Chess Endings by Reuben Fine so I can read parts of the book without having to set up the positions on a real chessboard which takes ages.
I did an internet search and came up with some downloads but they had warnings that ads and ad software would be installed as well on my computer.
Can anyone give me a link where I can get a clean download of this, I mean without also installing unwanted stuff that is going to cause problems.
Many thanks if someone can help me with this.
