instead of the knight he should have moved his pawn forword one and put his king on a opposite coloured square of the bishop and then using the knight and the pawn make a queen white wins!

its obviously a draw, your "solution" is wrong

Checkmate often occurs with your own pieces interfering with your escape. White’s pieces are an integral part of the game and can be used for that purpose. Draw by Stalemate is a rule and often sought by a struggling opponent. I think White was wrong running the clock out then claiming Black has insufficient mating material on the board and claiming a Draw.

White by running his clock out caused interference with the progression of the game to Checkmate and Black should receive the win since Black was denied one move to clearly Checkmate its opponent apparently having time remaining on his clock.

I pick Black to be the rightful winner.

No. Then Rd1 and it is a draw

ninja888

Its a win for white, but the moves are this:

1. c7 Rd6+

2. Kb5 Rd5+

3. Kb4 Rd4+

4. Kb3 Rd3+

5. Kc2 +-

ninja888

After the tricky Rd4!?, then c8=R +-
