The drill is locked to me, but I surmise the same. I have a correspondence game at the moment with my Rook against a Knight and Pawn. Appears to be a draw, unless I'm missing something.
Rook vs Knight, Extra Pawn
I dunno over what you're talking abt, but a rook can checkmate with the king and pawns can promote, so wdym?

Here's the game

That's what I guess makes it a stalemate. I'm currently making a maneuver to attempt separating the defending king from the defending rook.
R vs N is a draw unless the defending king is locked in the corner. In fact, underpromotion to a knight is a standard drawing technique in certain rook vs pawn endgames. The easiest way to draw is moving your king and knight to the edge (but not to the corner) and sticking them together, then there's no way to force a win. If the knight wanders off, it may be cut off and captured.
If there are more pawns on the board, it depends. Most certainly, avoid exchanging your pawns, unless there is some tactical reason to do so. At some point, you may consider sacking the rook for the knight if it transitions you to a winning pawn endgame.

@yahatase: It´s an running game? Than you really should not ask questions in the forum! That is called cheating and could lead to a ban on chess.com! Wait till the game is finished and then ask the comunity for help!

Archaja, I don't speak polish so I'm not sure what you're referring to there, but I didn't know discussing a drill could be considered cheating. Certainly not my intention, I'm just a student of the game.

This is not a drill. It´s a running game between you and RABI-202022....

Well I definitely take rules seriously, especially around cheating. Since I don't know you I'm not sure whether you're just randomly obsessed or speaking in line with the protocols. My inquiry was genuine curiosity about the lesson regarding knights vs rooks in endgames. That is one of the many dimensions of chess I am not aware of that I'd like to learn.
If you or anyone else wants to inform me about rules regarding studying such a situation while playing, I'll be grateful for that. If it's an issue of posting a live game and asking for advice, I certainly would see your point. That wasn't my intention though I do see how that could be construed. I posted that more to show anyone interested the situation. Maybe a good thing to beware of going forward.
Anyway, threatening to ban me seems hasty, I have 10+ years on the site following the rules and have lately been using Drills and other features to improve my knowledge.
Be well.
