R+P endgame 4 vs 3

I recently played a 5 0 game on FICS. My opponent seemed willing to trade into an endgame (even if it forced him to make slight positional concessions) and as I'm confident in the endgame I obliged. Eventually we had a 4 pawns vs 3 pawns Rook endgame. I'd like to know what the truth about this endgame is - I managed to win, but my opponent played rather indifferently. You can skip to move 31 if you want; that's the part that I feel I could learn a lot from, as well as other people.

So two passers against one is a win in this case? I didn't know that.

Is the draw for White after move 52 53. Rg8? I should have thought about it more...
