Black to move and win, very difficult to wrap your head around:

The latter is an extra-ordinary solution if it is all correct! Could be a prize winner in a study competition! I'll look at it closer!

Btw, it doesn't matter that it is in the tablebase. It's still on your account to find such attractive systematic manoeuvres.

I did not know that. Thanks!

And it definitely is a nice study; I was surprised when I saw the pattern.

Maybe because it is? I really hope this is by pure accident or you just forgot to credit the source.

https://www.wfcc.ch/wp-content/uploads/D-11FIDECUP-pre.pdf See the 1st prize.

Edit: The colors are reversed, however the solution remains the same.

I guess it’s not surprising that someone else already found the same Tablebase position. Only so many options.

That's true. I have recently seen an interesting, but cursed win (win is possible, but it exceeds the 50-move rule) with the same pieces. It's simply beautiful, I might post it.

I imagine this has been found before, but regardless it's an interesting puzzle.

Again, some interesting tablebase studies fit for publication - though they are better with intro moves. However, after #20, I am no longer sure they are yours.

Neither am I, sadly.

Long but not very interesting, in my opinion.

Hopefully original. Regardless, composing this and analyzing the lines was very fun. happy.png

I found this really cool one from DVORETSKY'S ENDGAME MANUAL: White to move and draw

One of the best chess books ever written!

Not original but interesting as the h

pawn with the queening square is not the same color of the bishop. White to move.
