Two-bishop checkmate is hard! Any tips and tricks?

I should actually have said that a tip is to not move the bishop up a rank or file until you know that no matter what the defending side plays after you do so, your next move will be with the other bishop to the same rank/file. So in the below example, I play 6. Kf2 because I know that no matter what black plays, my next two moves are 7. Be5 and 8. Be4. Similarly I am comfortable playing 10. Bf6 because I know no matter what black plays next, I will be able to play 11. Bf5 and the king is successfully on the edge.

@BlackaKhan why can't I see your games?

I haven't played any games against anybody yet. I just joined this site last month and have been playing only practice games and endgame scenarios against the bots.

I used to play in OTB tournaments when I was in high school, but that was over 30 years ago.  I've played probably less than 30 games in the last 30 years. Right now I'm spending a few weeks working off the rust from not playing so long.  Maybe next month I'll feel ready to challenge some players here.

Dammit, I forgot how to do it and failed again.  One little misstep and the king escapes to another part of the board and prolongs the chase to the 50-move limit.

Failed 3 more times.  I can push the king to the edge of the board, but there's some little thing I'm missing about how to move the bishops around to get the king into the corner.

Thanks. The key to it is the formation at 3:49 in the video.  I got the checkmate in 20 moves.

I did a video on 2 Bishops checkmate and yes it can be tricky if you don't know the technique.

Well done, good video. Actually its quite easy when you figure it out. People says it rare come up in real game but that is very poor reason not to study it. You need to know this as a chess player. Its not interesting if its rare that it comes up in real game. You learn a lot from it how the pieces works together and also give you understanding how to push the king to the side of the board. Its like saying that Rook vs Queen its not worth study since its rare comes up? That is same argument at people claim its life in the universe since ther are so many galaxies. Its a very bad argument for life.
