While I am looking at this, it seems like White loses after 3.Kc4.
What is your favorite endgame position

Trexler, the kings should never get to the position in your latest diagram. And if ry is claiming that 1. Kh1 Kb2 2. Kh2 Kb3 3. Kg2 draws, he is wrong. It loses to 3...Kc2.

Now maybe Trexler will read #244 again and try to answer my questions. I'm trying to help him find the solution, not just give it to him.

I think that Kh1 loses to Kb2 Kh2 Kb3 Kh3 Kc3 Kg3 Kd4. Any moves here wrong?
(in 256 edited: yes, Black's Kd4 draws.)
What is your move for White after 4...Kd4? What about after 3...Kb4?
Kh4.

@Trexler: Correct, for the first question. What is your move if Black plays 3...Kb4 instead of 3...Kc3?

@Trexler: Also correct. Do you think either resulting position is winning for Black? If not, do you see a way for Black to improve?

3. Kh1 right?
