I dunno, but maybe white could have checked the black king around and around since it cannot be taken or else stalemate- I'm too lazy to post lines

Right, Rf4+ is an easy draw, black can never escape the checks.

that's true, it's forced draw in that position

nice pwan.

yep, Rf4 is a draw, if black uses the knight to block, RxN! and then KxN is stalemate.

Avatar of Insane_Chess

That was a drawn position because of the stalemated King. Too bad White didn't notice. haha

stalemate?  5. Kf2 Kh2 6. Krunsforhislife g1=Q

Easier than that even. If White's rook stays on the 4th rank, Black can never block with the N.

Yep, 1.Rf4+! Ke5 2.Rxf3!! (I think) 2...Nxf3+ 3.Kxg2 Ke4 4.Kxg3 1/2-1/2

Geez, it's so simple...

i would have tried to force the king to g3 for rook g4 forcing stalemate rather than just chasing the king around waiting for black to draw out of frustration.  that is assuming he goes to g3, otherwise you are still just chasing him around the board.
