Emre

Proud to share the progress of my student Emre, who’s been training with me for just one month—and already reached his highest rapid rating ever: 1656 on Chess.com!

+110 points in 30 days
Now in the top 1.7% of all Chess.com players globally
Goal: 1800 in the next 45 days

What makes this achievement truly special?

Emre is a highly educated, extremely busy professional in a top-level managerial role—yet he still finds time every single day to work on his chess.

He follows my structured daily program with discipline:

➡️ Training exercises
➡️ Rapid games
➡️ Puzzle Storm and Puzzle Racer sessions

🎯 No shortcuts. Just consistent effort and a passion for improvement.

If you’re serious about chess, no matter how packed your schedule is—you can make progress.

Hello, thank you for your comment. In my opinion, a 10-minute rapid game is the best tempo for a player rated 450, as well as for a coach, to help and guide.

That may be true, but the gentleman in question is a busy professional with only 30 to 60 minutes for chess each day.

Anyone can improve at that rating range, just read books, solve puzzles from there, and sprinkle in some openings, and maybe some tactics training. Easy!

EDIT: I improved 300 points in one year (2000 to 2300), just to prove it .

Agreed. I acknowledge that some of my students are over 2300 at 13 years old, and a few are 2100 at age 9. Congratulations on your success!

That’s still not very fast progression I gain just about the same elo with the 10 min I play chess games in a day

Leviackerman594

i gained 250 elo in 7 days in blitz and was at my peak (2485 elo) but i tilted and lost 195 elo in 4 days now 2300 i think i am getting bad at blitzcry

Seriously good for you, but I don't see why you should diminish the work of that student and his coach... Especially if he tells you he only have 30 minutes a day. It means like one short game and few puzzles, it's not a lot.

Ok I’m sorry I shouldn’t have done that
