How can I improve my middlegame? I started playing chess last year October. Could someone help me how to avoid making blunders and stop making some random moves coz I do not know what to do.. Any answers could help :) Thank you!

PS. I am reading a lot of books like John Nunn's Understanding Chess move by move and How to Reassess your chess by Jeremy Silman and my rating jumped from 1007 to 1248 in a week.
