Hi! My name is Lauren Goodkind and I'm a chess coach and chess book author based in the San Francisco Bay Area. I agree with Aron. In some positions, the pawn is better, and sometimes, the queen is better. For example, you can promote the pawn to a knight, which can lead a win. A queen doesn't have that power.

The answers given r right but probably 99 to 99.5% of the time it'll be the queen that's better.
Like 99.9% ish
queen is good for early and middle game, pawn is really lethal in end game.
Doesn’t it depend on what stage of the game you’re at?

@MarkofGreatness I believe a beginner player or any player in general would listen to a coach who has more experience with teaching than most. Sorry that you're so jealous.

In general, the queen is much better than the pawn. There are very little circumstances where a pawn is better than a queen. Queen is definitely better.
