It's a matter of degrees. There are noobs, masters, grandmasters, and robots. But I think that all of them only understand only a portion of chess, and there is no one or thing that can understand not only the complex logical processes of high level chess, but also the history of it and the psychology of the game. I wouldn't expect Stockfish to understand human psychology and chess history any more than I would expect a completely new player to beat Magnus Carlsen.

TBH: I think only a couple dozen people on the planet really understand chess. The rest of us are terrible to one degree or another. Try not to take it personally.
