Now I'm up to 868. I'm learning so much. I know I have so much to learn yet, but I can't help but feel somewhat proud of how far I've come over the last few months. My original goal was to hit 1000 by my one year mark. Now I feel that's actually possible. I just need to tighten up those opening chess principles and adhere to blunder checks etc. My coach, Vadzim, has been instrumental in helping me improve. My primary goal is still 1000. But I'm upping my expectations. I believe I can reach 1500 in good time. I'm overcoming the anxiety of losing and playing badly. And most of all chess has given me a coping method for depression and anxiety. When I get too into my head, let's play some chess. I'm glad I decided to come back to chess. I wish inhad stuck with it all those years ago. But it's never too late and it came back at a time when I really needed something to even me out.

I hope youre all enjoying your chess as well. Much love to the Chess.com community. ✌🤜🤛🤝

Also big shout out to Wasp, Jordan, and Mr.Eeseeks for the help in my chess journey.

Yea, tell me about it. I got tilted in a bad way. Haven't played a game in like 4cdays now because I got so discouraged that I'm just studying and doing puzzles until I gain my confidence back. No one feels it more than me. 😔

Don't worry about it too much, you'll bounce back

How do you know no one feels it more than you? Unless go around feeling other people, or is that something different?

I imagine the only one who can feel the discouraging effects of my horrid play a few days ago would be me. I was speaking in an individualistic sense. If I were speaking for other people then I could understand your response here. However, as Hrarray pointed out, "rip OPs rating." respresenting the humbling tumble in rating I experienced, I figured I would comment on the fact that I and only myself feels the disappointment of playing so badly and dropping so rapidly. I'm sure other people can relate. But since my drop in rating applies to me, I'm the only one who feels the disappointment associated with it. Relatable in an objective sense, certainly. Individually, the disappointment of that night belongs to me.
