Improvement can take time. Just continue solving puzzles and try as hard as you can at finding the answer on that puzzle. Continue watching youtube chess videos.

Good day everyone. I started learning chess about 6 months ago and since then. I have improved from about 400 rating to 1000. I can't say I am exactly happy with the progress cause I was stuck at 900+ for 3 months out of the 6 months. I don't know if I am not doing something right.
Basically, John Bartholomew's video on YouTube is what helped me improve in the first three months and doing tactics daily.
Now, this is where I need help. I don't want to spend months being stuck at a particular rating so can someone suggest what I should be doing at my level. Or better still, what you did that helped improve pass 1000+. No offence but I need suggestion from those that improved their rating really fast.
And if there's anyone who used John's video and saw significant improvement. I m curious to know how well they improved. I am in medical school so time is something I don't have in luxury. Thank you all in anticipation
